You can continue to support RAWA through Meena Fashion and BoHo HoBo

BoHo HoBo presents a new shop  named Meena,  in honour of  the founding member of RAWA, the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan, which has been fighting for human rights, democracy and social justice in Afghanistan since 1971. All proceeds from the sales of both Meena and BoHo HoBo go to RAWA in order to help fund schools, orphanages, clinics and income generating projects for Afghan people.

The style of clothes at Meena is ‘Afghanistan Bohemian’. It is a hybrid of traditional Afghan styles and western styles of clothes.  Traditional afghan styles have a lot of variety due to the many ethnic groups represented in Afghanistan, as well as it’s historic place on the ancient silk road and the influences of the various cultures that have passed through this desert country. Tajik, Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Kuchi nomad, Indian, Turkish and Persian styles are all influencing factors in the style of traditional Afghan clothes and as well in this collection of Afghanistan Bohemian wear.

“It is why we play this concert; we all want the world at peace. This is a common desire for all person in all countries. Everywhere.

~~~Our performance playing rock music at “IMAGINE PEACEFEST’11″ . . . to know that our performances and music are from Japan and that somehow this small concert will be part of something bigger. It allows me to participate and give energy from Japan out for world peace.
~~~We put all of our creative energy into perfecting the music and technology of this performance for world peace. I want to work hard and see soon a time when all the people can unite into one, getting over the language barriers through music.
People land up above. You can then see signs. 人々は、上記の土を盛る。彼らはサインを見ることができる方法。

POL Arida, mad, bad, thumping, screaming and without a doubt one of the most original artists playing second life. An experience that touches the heart and kills the clock. If you have never been….now is the time.

From Scotland this highly original musician plays mostly his own material, but has a stage presence to widen the eyes…and that’s not even the excellent songs, which have words to make you think and cry.

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Solace%20Island/188/71/23

We are the troupe ~DRUM~

We have a variety of different sets we play live including Taiko, Native American, African, Latin, East Indian, Mallet, Wall set and Rusty barrels

Members of the DRUM group have collaborated to create the unique sounds, drums, and animations that enable us to perform. Our performances are live and are subtly different each time – they are not pre-recorded music.

The sounds are created right within Second Life. We then send them out and back in via stream in order to provide you with a lag free experience!

Our drummers are:

Brigitte Kungler, DMom2K Darwin, Kell Babenco, Ladyslipper Constantine, Lorin Tone and atrebor Zenovka.

Over the years, she has released three albums, all of which are available on iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon, & more. Her voice and musical style compares to that of Carole King and Tori Amos. She enjoys playing piano and guitar and trying different styles of performing cover songs and even rearranging some of her own songs. Drawing from the inspiration of life as it transpires around her and those she’s closest to influences her songwriting. She feels that Life is the greatest inspiration and music the perfect way to communicate.

**EVER SO SLOWLY**
it falls
it falls away it falls through me
it crawls thru the very walls of my cells
in stasis it pulses
the life of me
it is the life of me

it drenches my bones
my muscles push
and it drips through my skin
the life of me
it is
this
water

I AM
this water
more so than sunlight
more so than soul
water is everywhere
within me
so I seek it
to submerge
I submit to my thirst
and drink deeply

stay satiated
stay wet
or my body cries out
my mouth is parched
my bones are brittle
my muscles are still
my skin hangs
the life of me
has run dry

the earth is parched
the sky is dry
and I am
dying of thirst

There are no lakes
the rivers fill the seas
with filth
and we walk
for miles to parched wells

what has become of
the life of me
the waters of my birth
the water that is
my wealth
had I only known
to treasure every drop
to keep the house of my earth clean
to save what I threw away
to share what I had
perhaps this desert
is a dream
and I will awaken
to a refreshing drink
and sip it slowly
ever so slowly

PEACE IS A CHOICE

Peace is a choice
that starts within
and spreads
the feeling
like a balm
of soothing calm
oozing out
from the inside
of you
and me

Across the seas
and through the blue
of this spinning ball
suspended
in time
and space
it wraps around
our global face

So close your eyes
and breath it in
and feel
one voice
say peace . . .

Peace is a choice

TOUCHING HANDS

candles
burning
turning
wisps
of peace
into clouds
covering the earth

and underneath
we dance
and sing
a song
that reaches
into many lands
as peace is passed
through touching hands

IMAGINE CHILD

Imagine,  child,
How foolish we once were.
Having low opinion of ourselves!
That we would ALWAYS fight
We would compete
And some would die
And some would kill
And some would starve.
Our thoughts were prisons
Blocking all our hope!
Imagine, child
How foolish we once were!

Imagine, child,
How difficult it was
Back then,  for those
Who said that “This is all wrong
This must change!”
Those first imaginers
Who dreamt the future.
Some were cut down,
Some ideas were killed
Some mocked into silence
And some dreams starved of life.
Imagine, child
How difficult it was!

Imagine, child,
How hope began to grow
When we connected up
Across the world.
When we found others
Working for the change
Ended divisions,
Dropped competition, nationality, money stuff
And shared our talents freely,
Shared our dreams.
Imagine child
How hope began to grow!

So look around you, child,
And see our world – so wonderful!
Our people good and loving,
All the beauty they create,
And how our minds play with ideas.
We keep our gardens lush and thriving.
Yes, we came through!
Imagine, child
That step we took together
To come to this beauty
We took the walk of union
We won this future!
